Art is for EVERYONE!

Art is for everyone.

I believe EVERYONE is creative, unique, wonderfull.

Therefore, everyone is an artist.

You too! And me too! Woo hoo!

But sometimes we forget.

Art is for everyone - Cosmic Smashbook class

Life gets busy with all the things. We think we don’t have time.

Or maybe someone once told you that you weren’t an artist or your art wasn’t good. Maybe it was a parent, a sibling, a teacher, kids at school.

Or maybe that was YOU telling it to yourself. (Me too!)

Here’s the thing …

That’s a bunch of crap. All of it.

You DO have something to say, a story to tell. Maybe an old story to re-tell in a new way.

You DO have art to make — colorful, messy, maybe a little glittery.

Or a lot glittery.

You have art to make that reflects you, who you are, what you believe.

Me too!

Let’s do it! Let’s make art — together, imperfectly, unapologetically.

Here’s the thing. Life is short. Times are hard. The world is a freaking Dumpster fire. I get that. I live here too. I’m paying attention.

But what if …

We could create a new world, one where we all get to exist exactly as we are right now, wonderfully and imperfectly. And we don’t just slog through, we get to ENJOY it — just by imagining it out loud on the pages of an inexpensive little art journal?

What if …

We had the power to create the energy we want to live in.

I believe we do. I KNOW we do.

Art is for Everyone

One way we all get to do that is by making art. Scheduling the time for it. Coming together in community. Imagining. Making things — with our hands, not AI.

Sharing our ideas and inspiration

Telling our stories

Getting to really know ourselves — and each other — on a soul level

I believe this is one way to heal ourselves from the hurt we all carry.

And I believe that healing ourselves — even in the smallest of ways — ripples out, helping to heal our whole world.

It seems stupidly simple.

Childish, really. Painting, cutting out pictures, gluing down sparkles. All the fun stuff you did in kindergarten.

How will that change the world?

I don’t know. I just know that doing those “childish” things FEELS GOOD.

It reconnects me with a part of myself I had forgotten.

It turns out, that’s a part of myself who I really, really like!

I don’t want to go through life hating myself for stuff I did or didn’t do over the course of my lifetime — especially when I still have so much lifetime wide open in front of me to live.

Making art helps me heal that. It makes me feel better.

What if we ALL felt better?

Just a little bit.

I believe that would raise the vibration of the collective a whole lot.

That’s one way you change the world.

Together, we can burn it all down (in a good way!) And rebuild it into something wonderfull.

Writing, journaling, making art. That is medicine for me.

I want to share that. I want to teach you how to reconnect with your creativity too so you can feel good, heal, move foreard into a beautifull future for yourself. And for all of us.
